What is the volume of each solid below?

  1. cylinder with a hole

     A 3 centimeter diameter cylinder with a height of 7 centimeters has 1 centimeter diameter cylinder drilled out of the center of the larger cylinder.

    Volume = (area of base)(height)

    You can find the area of the base by subtracting the area of the inner circle from the area of the larger circle.

  1. regular octagonal prism

            A regular octagonal prism with a side length of 2 feet and a height of 7 feet.
