$y=\frac{1}{2}x-9$

1. Solve the system below twice: graphically and algebraically. Verify that your solutions from the different methods are the same.

Graph the system and identify the point of intersection of the two lines.
Solve algebraically by setting the equations equal to each other.

2. What is the relationship between the two lines? How can you tell?

They are perpendicular because the slopes are opposite reciprocals.
