9-96.

Algebraically solve the system of equations below for $x$ and $y$. Then graph the system to confirm your solution.

 $y = x^2 +2.6x + 0.45$ $y = 2x + 1$

Use the equal values method.

Solve for $x$.
Use the $x$-values and substitute to find the $y$-values.
Write your two answer in the form $(x, y)$.
$x^2 + 2.6x + .45 = 2x + 1$
$x^2 + 0.6s - 0.55 = 0$
$(x + 1.1)(x - 0.5) = 0$
