For each function, write an equation for the inverse function. How can you check if your equation is correct?

Write down the steps of the original function.
1. Multiply by $2$.
2. Add $3$.

Write down the steps that will 'undo' the original function.
1. Subtract $3$.
2. Divide by $2$.

Write the equation for the inverse function using what you wrote in Step 2.

$\textit{f}^{-1}(x)=\frac{\textit{x}-3}{2}$

Follow the steps in part (a) when writing down the steps of the original function, which comes first, dividing by $4$ or subtracting $5$?
