Solve each equation below for $x$. Show all of your work. (Assume denominators of zero are already excluded.)

1. $c x - a = b$

$x=\frac{a+b}{c}$

1. $\frac { x } { a } - b ^ { 2 } = c$

$x = ab^{2} + ac$

1. $( x - a ) ( x - b ) = 0$

$x = a, b$

1. $a x ^ { 3 } - a c x ^ { 2 } = 0$

Factor and use the Zero Product Property.

1. $\quad \frac { x } { a + b } = \frac { 1 } { c }$

Multiply both sides by the common denominator, $c\left(a + b\right)$.

1. $\frac { 1 } { x ^ { 3 } } + a = b$

Subtract a from both sides and then multiply both sides by $x^{3}$.
Isolate and solve for $x$.
