Solve each of the following equations.

Multiply both sides by $7\left(x + 1\right)$ to cancel the denominators.

$x=\frac{5}{2}$

1. $\quad \frac { 2 } { y } = \frac { 3 } { y + 5 }$

Multiply both sides by $y\left(y + 5\right)$.

You will need to use the Quadratic Formula to get the answer.
