Solve each equation.

1. $( x + 2 ) ^ { 2 } - ( x - 2 ) ^ { 2 } = 8$

Square each binomial and simplify.

1. $\quad \frac { 1 } { x } + \frac { 1 } { x + 2 } = 3$

Multiply both sides by $x\left(x + 2\right)$.

You will need to use the Quadratic Formula to get the answer.

1. $11 ( 4 ^ { x } ) - 15 = - 14$

$4^x= \frac{1}{11}$

Now use logs.

1. $4 \operatorname { log } _ { 13 } ( x ) - 8 = 16$

$\log_{13}(x)=6$
Now rewrite in exponential form.
