The fireworks will launch from a boat in the bay, and must land in a designated “fire safe” zone $100$ meters away. Sketch a graph of the situation.

The path is a parabola.

If the boat is located at $(0,0)$, then the vertex of the parabola is $(50,30)$.

Use the equation of a parabola: $y=a(x−h)^2+k$.
