4-12.

What are the $x$‑ and $y$‑intercepts of the graphs of the functions?

1. $y=2x^2+3x-5$

Set $y=0$ to determine the $x$-intercepts and set $x=0$ to determine the $y$-intercepts.

$x{:}\; \left(1, 0\right), \left(-\frac{5}{2},0\right)$$y{:}\;(0,5)$

1. $y=\sqrt{2x-4}$

Use the same method that was used in part (a).
