Solve each equation for $y$.

1. $x^2=x(2x−4)+y$

$x^{2}=2x^2-4x+y$

$x^2-2x^2+4x=y$

$y = -x^2 + 4x$

1. $x=3+(y−5)^2$

Subtract $3$ from each side.

$x-3=\left(y-5\right)^2$

Square root both sides of the equation to get:

$\pm \sqrt{x-3}=y-5$

$y=5\pm \sqrt{x-3}$
