Divide both sides by $2$.
How many solutions are you expecting?

1. $2^{x} + 3 = 10$

Subtract $3$ from both sides.

$2^{x} = 7$

Take the log of both sides.

$\text{log}\left(2\right)^{x} = \text{log}\left(7\right)$

Apply the Power Property of Logarithms.

$x · \text{log}\left(2\right) = \text{log}\left(7\right)$

$x ≈ 2.81$
