1. $( \frac { 3 } { 4 } , 0 )$ and $\left(–2, 0\right)$

$y=\left(x-\frac{3}{4}\right)\left(x-\left(-2\right)\right)$

2. $(-\sqrt{5},0)$$\left(\sqrt{5},0\right)$ and $\left(–3, 12\right)$

$y=a(x+\sqrt{5})(x-\sqrt{5})$

Substitute the coordinates of the point that is not a root into the equation to solve for $a$.
