Solve each equation below.

1. $2 ^ { ( x - 1 ) } = 64$

How can you rewrite $64$ to look similar to the left side of the equation.

1. $9 ^ { 3 } = 27 ^ { ( 2 x - 1 ) }$

Apply the same method from part (a) on both sides of the equation.

$x = 1.5$

1. $\quad x ^ { 6 } = 29$

$x ≈ ±1.75$

1. $\quad 6 ^ { x } = 29$

Take the log of both sides to bring the exponent in front.
