The graphs of $y = \text{log}_{2}\left(x – 1\right)$ and $y = x^{3} – 4x$ intersect at two points: $\left(2, 0\right)$ and approximately $\left(1.1187, –3.075\right)$. Use that information to determine the solutions to $\text{log}_{2}\left(x – 1\right) = x^{3} – 4x$.

Look at the $x$-values of the points.

$x = 2, x \approx 1.1187$
