$a + b$
Hint (a):
Substitute the given expressions for $a$ and $b$ appropriately and combine like terms.

$a – b$
Hint (b):
Follow the same method from part (a).
Don't forget to distribute the negative/minus sign.

$ab$
Hint (c):
Expand as you would any other polynomial.
Answer (c):
$5 + i$
