2-69.

Suppose you wish to find outputs for the function $y=x^3$ on the interval $1\le x\le3$, by tenths. Your calculator can do this easily with the [TABLE] command. First use [TBLSET] ($\boxed{2\text{nd}} \; \boxed{\text{WINDOW}}$) to set up the table. Make$\text{TblStart} = 1$, $Δ\text{Table}=0.1$. Highlight Auto for both the independent and dependent variables. The function $y=x^3$ should be entered in $\text{Y}\scriptsize{1}$. The values for $x$ appear with their corresponding $y$-values (e.g. when $x=1.5$, $y=3.375$). You can scroll up and down the list with the arrow buttons to find the output(s) you want. What is the value of $y$ when $x=2.7$?

$y=2.7^3=19.683$
