3-23.

Each of these graphs is reflected over one of the axes. Find the equation of the resulting graph.

1. $f\left(x\right) = 3x^{2} − x$, reflected over the $x$-axis.

If it is reflected over the $x$-axis, then it must be $−f\left(x\right)$.

$−f\left(x\right) = −3x^{2} + x$

2. $f\left(x\right) = 3x^{2} − x$, reflected over the $y$-axis.

If it is reflected over the $y$-axis, then it must be $f\left(−x\right)$.
