State the period and amplitude for each graph below.

  1. Periodic curve, x axis scaled from negative 2 pi to 2 pi, with 10 visible turning point, first @ (negative 2 pi, comma negative 1), second @ (negative 3 halves pi, comma 3).

    Period: The horizontal distance of one complete cycle.
    Added to periodic curve, horizontal double sided arrow, from (1 half pi, comma 3), to 3 halves pi, comma 3).

  1. Periodic curve, x axis scaled from negative 8 to 8, with 6 visible turning point, first @ (negative 7.5, comma 0), second @ (negative 4.5, comma 10).

    Amplitude: The vertical distance from the midline of the curve to the highest point.
    Added to periodic curve, vertical up arrow, from (1.5, comma 5), to (1.5, comma 10).
