Let $g ( x ) = \left\{ \begin{array} { l l } { 3 + x ^ { 2 } } & { \text { if } x < - 2 } \\ { 2 x } & { \text { if } - 2 \leq x < 1 } \\ { 11 - x ^ { 2 } } & { \text { if } \quad x \geq 1 } \end{array} \right.$. Evaluate:

1. $g(3)$

$x=3$, so in this case, $x\ge1$. Therefore, use the third piece of the function.

$g(3)=11-3^2$

1. $g(-1)$

$x=-1$, so in this case, $-2\le x\le1$. Therefore, use the second piece of the function.

1. $g(-2)$

$x=-2$, so in this case, $-2\le x\le1$. Therefore, use the second piece of the function.

1. $g(4)$
