$x=0\text{ or }x+3=0$

$x^2+b=7$
Step 1 (b):
Subtract $b$ from both sides of the equation.
Step 1 Answer (b):
$x^2= 7 - b$
Step 2 (b):
Take the square root of both sides.
Step 2 Answer (b):
$x=\pm\sqrt{7-b}$
