Factor out $(x+2)$ from each expression, then simplify. If needed, let $u=x+2$.

1. $(x+2)^2-3(x+2)$

Think about this problem as factoring $w^2-3w$, where $w=x+2$.

$(x+2)((x+2)-3)$

$(x+2)(x-1)$

1. $(x+2)^3-4(x+2)$

1. $2(x+2)^2+6(x+2)$
