EQUATIONS OF TANGENT LINES

1. Use your slopes from problem 7-126 to write the equation of the line that is tangent to each of the functions at the point when $x=2$. Use point-slope form.

First you will need to determine the $y\text{-coordinate}$ for each function when $x=2$.

2. Describe how your procedure would have been different in the previous problem if you wanted to calculate the slopes of the tangent lines at $x=5$.

Use $5$ and $f(5)$ instead of $2$ and $f(2)$.
