$y=16( \frac { 1 } { 2 } ) ^ { 2 x + 1 }$

$y=2^4\left(\frac{1}{2}\right)^{2x}\left(\frac{1}{2}\right)^1$

$y = 100( 25 ) ^ { \frac { 1 } { 2 } x - 1 }$
Step (b):
$y=4\cdot 25(25)^{x/2}(25)^{-1}$
