9-36.

For each of the following functions, restrict its domain (if necessary) so that it is invertible. Then write an equation for the inverse.

1. $h(x) =\frac { 2 x + 3 } { x - 1 }$

$x=\frac{2y+3}{y-1}$

$xy-x=2y+3$

$xy-2y=3-x$

$y(x-2)=3-x$

1. $g(x) = 5(x − 2)^2$

This curve is a parabola. When reflected across the line $y = x$, it will not be a function. Restrict the domain so that the reflected curve will be a function.
