The roots of a polynomial are given below. Find two linear factors and the corresponding quadratic factor.

$x = - 2 + \sqrt { 3 } , x = - 2 - \sqrt { 3 }$
Hint (a):
Use the Zero Product Property.
More Help (a):
$0=(x-(-2+\sqrt{3}))(x-(-2-\sqrt{3}))$
$0=(x+2-\sqrt{3})(x+2+\sqrt{3})$
Answer (a):
$y = x^{2} + 4x + 1$

$x = - 2 + i , x = - 2 - i$
Hint (b):
Use the same process as in part (a).
