Hint (a):
Try to think of two factors of $63$ that have a difference of $2$ .

Notice that the constant, $−63$ , is negative.
Answer (a):
$\left(x − 9\right)\left(x + 7\right)$

$2x^{2} − 5x −12$

Step 1 (b):

Try using a diamond problem and a generic rectangle.

Step 2 (b):

To get $2x^{2}$ you need factors $\left(2x \right)\left(x \right)$ .

Answer (b):

$\left(2x + 3\right)\left(x − 4\right)$
