$\frac { 3 } { x } + \frac { 2 } { x + 1 } = 5$
Hint (a):
Find a common denominator.

$x^{2} + 6x + 9 = 2x^{2} + 3x + 5$
Hint (b):
Set the equation equal to zero and factor.

$8 - \sqrt { 9 - 2 x } = x + 3$
Hint (c):
Subtract 8 from both sides and then square both sides.
