Rewrite both sides of the equation with a base of $2$.

$\left(2^4\right)^{\left(x+2\right)}=\left(2^3\right)^x$

$2^{4\left(x+2\right)}=2^{3x}$ If the bases are equal, then the exponents need to be made equal.
