Solve each equation below.

1. $2 − \left(x + 5\right) = 7 − 2x + 3$

Distribute the −1 to (x + 5) and solve.

$2 − x − 5 = 7 − 2x + 3$

$x = 13$

2. $\left(2x + 4\right)\left(x − 3\right) = 0$

Remember the Zero Product Property.

$2x + 4 = 0; x − 3 = 0$

3. $\frac { 5 x + 4 } { 3 } = \frac { 2 x + 1 } { 5 }$

Multiply both sides by $15$ to eliminate the denominators.

$25x + 20 = 6x + 3$
