1-3.

One focus of this Geometry course is to help you recognize and accurately identify a shape. For example, a rectangle is a four-sided shape with four right angles. Which of the shapes below can be called a rectangle? More than one answer is possible.  

  1. An enclosed figure: Starting at the upper left corner: right 2, down 5, left 2, up 5 to enclose the figure.

  1. An enclosed figure: Starting at the upper left corner: diagonally down 5 and right 5, then left 5, then up 5, to enclose the figure.

  1. An enclosed figure: Starting at the upper left corner: right 5, down 5, left 5, up 5 to enclose the figure.

  1. An enclosed figure: Starting at the upper left corner: diagonally down 2 and right 6, then diagonally down 3 and left 1, then diagonally up 2 and left 6, then diagonally up 3 and right 1 to enclose the figure.

  1. An enclosed figure: Starting at the upper left corner: right 9, down 3, left 9, up 3 to enclose the figure.

  1. An enclosed figure: Starting at the upper left corner: right 6, then diagonally down 4 and right 2, then left 8, then up 4 to enclose the figure.

Remember a square is also a rectangle.
