For each of the equations below, solve for y in terms of $x$.

1. $2x-3y=12$

$2x−3y= 12$
$−2x = −2x$
Subtract $x$ from both sides.
$−3y= −2x+12$

$−3y=−2x+12$ Divide both sides by $−3$.

$y=\frac{2}{3}x-4$

1. $5x + 2y = 7$
