1-57.

For each equation below, solve for $x$. Show all work. The answers are provided so that you can check them. If you are having trouble with any solutions and cannot find your errors, you may need to see your teacher for extra help (you can ask your team as well). Homework Help ✎

1. $5x − 2x + x = 15$

• $5x−2x+x=15$
$\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 5x−x=15$
$\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 4x=15$

• $x=3.75$

1. $3x − 2 − x = 7 − x$

• $x=3$

1. $3(x − l) = 2x − 3 + 3x$

$3(x−1)=2x−3+3x$
$\ \ \ 3x−3=2x−3+3x$
$\ \ \ 3x−3=−3+5x$
$\ \ \ \ \ \ \ −3=2x−3$
$\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 0=2x$

$x=0$

1. $3(2 − x) = 5(2x − 7) + 2$

• $x=3$

1. $\frac { 26 } { 57 } = \frac { 849 } { 5 x }$

• $\frac{26}{57}=\frac{849}{5x}$

• $130x=48393$

• $x\approx372.25$

1. $\frac { 4 x + 1 } { 3 } = \frac { x - 5 } { 2 }$

• $x=−3.4$
