$6x + 5y = 20$
Step 1(a):
$\begin{array}{l} 6x + 5y = 20 \\ - 6x \quad \;\;- 6x \end{array}$
Step 2(a):
$5y=-6x+20$
Answer (a):
$y=-\frac{6}{5}x+4$

$4x-8y=16$
