6-4.

A mostly flat transversal line cuts two mostly up and down lines. About the point of intersection the left up and down line and the transversal line, are angles starting at top left going clockwise: u, s, t, and v. About the point of intersection, of the right up and down line and the transversal line, are angles starting at the top left going clockwise: z, x, y and w.Use the diagram at right to answer the following questions.

Review the Math Notes box in Lesson 2.1.4.

  1. What type of angle pair is and ? That is, what is their geometric relationship?

  2. What type of angle pair do and form?

  3. Name all pairs of corresponding angles in the diagram. Hint: There are four different pairs.
