8-70.

On graph paper, draw a rectangle with a width of $7$ units and a length of $5$ units.

1. Draw a new rectangle that is an enlarged copy of your original rectangle that has a length of $13$ units.

Refer to problem 8-29 for help.

2. Show how you can calculate the width of your new rectangle.

By what number did you multiply $5$ units to get $13$ units?
Use this same multiplier to calculate the new enlarged width.

$\frac{13}{5}=2.6$

Use $2.6$ to find the new width of the rectangle.
