9-34.

Kandi has a bag of marbles. She has black, white, green, and orange marbles. Kandi reaches into the bag without looking and pulls out a marble.

  1. What is the probability that she will pull out a green marble?

How many marbles are in the bag?
How many of these are green?

  2. If she does get a green marble and does not put it back in the bag, what is the probability that she will now pull the other green marble from the bag?

Since she has removed a marble, the bag now has only marbles. What portion of these are green?

  3. Assume that Kandi does get the second green marble and does not return it to the bag. What is the probability that she will now pull another green marble from the bag?

Are there any green marbles left to pull?
