1-21.

Use the bar graph at right to answer the following questions.

  1. How many people attended the fair on Tuesday?

How tall is the bar for Tuesday? Remember the units (in thousands).
Same bar graph as problem, but bar for Tuesday is highlighted.

    • Since the bar is units tall, people attended the fair.

  2. Which day had the largest attendance?

Which day has the tallest bar?

  3. What was the total attendance for the week?

The total attendance for the week is the sum of the daily attendances.

    Determine the daily attendances.

    Example:
    Monday:  people
    Tuesday: people

Add up the daily attendances to get the weekly total.
