Use graph paper to solve the following problem. .

1. Draw an $xy$-coordinate graph and label each axis. Plot the following ordered pairs: $(2, 3),$ $(-2, 3),$ $(-2, -3),$ $(2, -3)$. Connect the points in the order given as you plot them, then connect the fourth point to the first one.

2. Describe the shape on your graph. What is its area? What is its perimeter?

The Area of a rectangle $=$ base· height.
The Perimeter $=$ the sum of its sides.

3. Change only two points so that the shape has an area of $32$ square units. List your points. Is there more than one answer?

What numbers multiply to get $32$?
Make these numbers the base and height of your rectangle.
