Use any of your new strategies to find the area of the parallelograms below. The information in the Math Notes box may help. 

  1. A parallelogram, slanted left,  with right and left sides, each labeled, 20 in. A dashed line, perpendicular to the left and right sides, is labeled 25 in.

  • This parallelogram can be arranged into a rectangle.

  1. A parallelogram, slanted left,  with bottom and right sides, each labeled, 10 mm. A  right triangle is created by a line segment, labeled, 8 mm, drawn from the top right vertex, to the bottom side, at a 90 degree angle to the top.
