Use graph paper to complete parts (a) through (c) below.

1. Draw an $xy\text{-coordinate}$ graph and label each axis. Plot the following ordered pairs: $(2,3)$, $(-2,3)$, $(-2,-3)$, $(2,-3)$. Connect the points in the given order as you plot them. Then connect the fourth point to the first one.

2. Describe the shape on your graph. What is its area? What is its perimeter?

The $\text{Area of a rectangle}=\text{base}·\text{height}$.
The $\text{Perimeter}=\text{the sum of its sides}$.

3. Change only two points so that the shape has an area of $32$ square units. List your points. Is there more than one answer?

What numbers multiply to get $32$?
Make these numbers the base and height of your rectangle.
