Find the area and perimeter of each figure below.

  1. A parallelogram, slanted right, with bottom side, 20.2 cm. Left side is 14 cm. A right triangle is created by a line segment of 12 cm, drawn from the top left vertex, to the bottom side, at a 90 degree angle to the bottom.

    The formula to find the area of a parallelogram is the same as the formula to find the area of a rectangle:
    (base)(height).

  1. A trapezoid with horizontal parallel bases: bottom is 17.8 m, and top is 7 m, and non parallel legs, of 6 m, and 7.5 m. A dashed line, labeled 4 m, perpendicular to both bases, connects the bases.
