10-47.

The Shones’ family orchard produces $130$ pounds of fruit per tree using traditional farming techniques. They would like to change to biodynamic farming techniques that will increase their crop by $20\%$. Changing techniques will cost money, but the fruit crop will be larger. Help them decide if they should change by calculating how much they will be able to grow two different ways, using two different scale factors (one multiplier will be greater than one). How many more pounds of fruit per tree will they get?

If the Shones' family wants to increase their crop by $20\%$, what are two ways to calculate their new yield?

Find $20\%$ of their original production and add it to their original total to find the new yield.
Calculate how much $20\%$ of their original production would be.

They will get $26$ pounds more per tree.
