Find the perimeter and area of each figure.  

  1. A triangle has a base of 15 kilometers. The other two sides are 7 and 10 kilometers.  From the top vertex perpendicular to the base is 4 kilometers.

    Add all the side lengths together to find the perimeter.

    Use the equation for finding the area of a triangle.

  1. A rectangle seven eighths of an inch by three eighths of an inch.

    Add all the side lengths together to find the perimeter.
    A rectangle has two pairs of sides with equal lengths.

    Use the equation for finding the area of a rectangle.
