Copy and complete each of the Diamond Problems below. The pattern used in the Diamond Problems is shown at right. 

Generic Diamond Problem. One number, x, is located on the left side. The second number, y, is located on the right side.  The bottom number is the sum of the two numbers, x and y. The top number is the product of the two numbers, x and y.

  1. Diamond Problem. Left 3 and 1 half, Right 1 half, Top blank,  Bottom blank

  1. Diamond Problem. Left blank, Right blank, Top negative 28,  Bottom 3

  1. Diamond Problem. Left negative 7, Right blank, Top blank,  Bottom negative 15

  1. Diamond Problem. Left blank, Right blank, Top 10,  Bottom 7

Look at the diamond in the right-hand corner to find what belongs in the top and bottom diamonds.

Use the and y values given to find the value and value.
